Dear Andy,
I am writing to you with sincere appreciation that you founded the Primary Peritoneal Cancer Foundation. My mother, Sandy Capone, was diagnosed with this cancer in August 2007. She is 69 years old and was a classroom teacher for 33 years. She is fighting this disease with courage and dignity. I am also a teacher and the school in which I teach recently participated in "Casual for a Cause" Day to raise money for your Foundation. Please accept the enclosed check from the faculty and staff of Macungie Elementary School in honor of my mother, Sandra Capone. I am hopeful that one day we will find a cure for all cancers. I will keep your wife and family in my thoughts and prayers.
